Bringing in your vehicle
When you arrive to Gillman Collision Center of Fort Bend, you will fill out an Authorization of Repair Form to allow us to repair your vehicle.
If you do not have transportation, as a courtesy, a Collision Center Advisor will ride with you to your residence and drive the damaged vehicle to Gillman Collision. An Advisor will also deliver the vehicle when the work is completed. If your vehicle damaged to the point that it not drivable, we will assist in making arrangements with Enterprise Rent-a-Car for a rental vehicle, ensuring that you are not left without transportation.
The Repair Process
Once we have an estimate and a signed Authorization of Repair Form, a body technicians will begin the process of breaking down your vehicle. At this point we will:
1. Find the exact amount of damage listed on the estimate for the vehicle and begin repairing.
2. If we find additional damage once we have removed any parts, we will call your insurance company to
have the insurance adjuster out
to re-inspect the vehicle and approve our repairs and/or we will contact you, informing you of the additional
repair costs as well as requesting your permission to repair the additional damages.
Sometimes a simple hit can damage more than just the
outside, so there's always a chance of discovering additional repairs.
But you always have the option to say to refuse any services.
When repairs are complete, your vehicle moves on to the Paint Department
to be refinished. Refinishing is a term we use for the process of
repainting the fixed areas of your vehicle. With your vehicle now repaired and refinished, an experienced Advisor will thoroughly inspect the vehicle, checking for any discrepancies in the repaired area. After the vehicle passes our Quality Control Check, the vehicle is moved to our Wash Station. where the technician does one last spot check before buffing and washing the vehicle.
